AI Innovations was started in 1999 by Frank Green and Brett Hodges. Frank started in the awning business in April of 1989 and Brett joined Frank in the business in 1998.
AI was originally housed in a 15,000 square foot industrial building on the southeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana. In April 2001, the company opened a 9,000 square foot plant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In 2005, the Indianapolis facility was moved into a new 34,000 square foot facility where it operates today.
